Automated Abrasive Blast System Operator
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Load and unload parts into blast units manually or with a forklift.
- Operate blast system to remove scale, rust, and paint from metal parts.
- Adjust machine settings for cycle time or abrasive flow rate.
- Keep units at the proper media fill levels.
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure they meet quality and finish specifications.
- Accurately complete production records.
- Move parts after blasting to the paint department for coating.
- Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance. Help with other maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Attention to detail.
- Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
- Must be dependable and report to work on time.
