Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials safely using manual labor or overhead crane.
• Set up, adjust, and operate band saw to cut bar or tube. Read blueprints and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
• Adjust machine settings or program for repetitive cuts.
• Accurately complete production records and assist with raw material inventory.
• Inspect cut materials using tape measure/calipers to ensure they meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards. Mark part number on workpieces.
• Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and replacing dull or broken blades.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Notify supervisor of shortages or inventory discrepancies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required with average math skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to use hand and power tools proficiently.
• Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
• Must be dependable and report to work on time.
